Dr. Alessia Bruno presented the topic of Trauma and Performance with particular focus on athletes. Associations between underlying developmental traumas and performance issues (e.g. blocks, yips, anxiety,low self-esteem) were highlighted. It was discussed an innovative approach; BRAINSPOTTING, which aims at the complete resolution of performance issues and allows performers to expand and develop resilience. Brainspotting treatment was discussed in relation to working with adults and minors.
